Daily Journal named Ann Fromholz to its 2021 list of Top Labor & Employment Lawyers in California, recognizing her for her expertise in workplace investigations and executive compensation.
Daily Journal highlighted several of her recent matters, including successfully representing several high-level Caesars Entertainment executives when Caesars was purchased by El Dorado Resorts in 2020. She successfully obtained favorable agreements which involved negotiations of complex employment agreements, compensation packages, and restrictive covenants, and more executives continue to contact her for assistance.
“Workplace investigations came to the forefront during the MeToo movement, and there are a lot of claims still. Workers are more aware of their ability to complain, and companies are more aware of their duty to investigate,” said Fromholz.
Fromholz has also handled other high-profile cases including representing a journalist who broke a major new story and was subjected to an internal investigation by her employer and the FBI; representing a law school dean investigated by a school following an internal complaint, and negotiating his transition to another high-level position; and representing two employees of a major financial industry firm who were at risk of being reported to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority for alleged misconduct. In all her cases, she negotiated favorable terms for her clients.
Fromholz opened her own firm in 2015 after working at another law firm and as Vice President and Chief Counsel for the enterprise labor and employment group at Caesar’s Entertainment Corp. in Las Vegas. “I’m so glad I struck out on my own. I’m a single parent and I wanted and needed the flexibility to set my own hours and avoid the expectations of a big law firm. My life is now better suited to what I need.”
